Hilo Intermediate Spartan Spooktaculah is Oct. 27

The Hilo Intermediate School PTSA invites everyone to its second annual Spartan Spooktaculah from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 27.

“It’s a full day of family fun that will get your whole entire ohana set and ready for the Halloween spooks and entertainment. The featured attraction is the Spooktaculah Haunted House, where school ghosts of past and present will be awaiting your visit,” said spokeswoman Reiko Yoshida Hamano.

Money raised from this event will fund extracurricular and athletic programs, campus picnic tables and benches, and various student activities, said Hamano.

“So, please come for a great time and be ‘Spooktaculahed,’” she said.

Featured attractions include the haunted house, a country store and farmers’ market offering fresh produce, baked goods and nonfood items for sale, free entertainment, talent show, costume contest, games, keiki arts and crafts, prizes, giveaways, a slide, jumping castle, rock climbing wall, vision and blood pressure screenings and assorted food booths.

Scrip will be used for purchases and will be readily available at the Spooktaculah.
